Why are your prices so low?
We work directly with precious metals suppliers in order to skip the "middleman". We do not pay sales people any commissions, and we buy precious metal in large quantities. Buying rings from a mall incurs tremendous overhead that occurs when operating an expensive store.
Do you sell hollow rings?
All of our bands are completely solid, and we list all the necessary specifications with each ring so that you know before your ring arrives exactly what it is like: width, thickness, purity of metal, etc. In most cases, the quality of our bands is superior to those offered by other jewelers. Most jewelry shops sell everything from earrings to cufflinks. We specialize in wedding bands and wedding rings, so we scrutinize each ring more than most organizations! We do not sell gold-plated or hollow rings! We offer PT950 platinum wedding bands instead of PT900, PD950 palladium wedding bands, aircraft grade (6AL/4V) titanium wedding bands, pure 10K, 14K or 18K gold wedding bands, and we polish and hand inspect each wedding band before it is shipped to guarantee satisfaction. With the Internet making it possible to buy gold jewelry from anywhere in the world, many manufacturers are now using international gold marks to show the purity of their gold jewelry items. Are your rings cast or die-struck, and which is better?
The two primary methods for manufacturing wedding bands are by casting and by machining or die-striking. The term “die-struck” or “die-striking” is commonly used to describe the process of making rings either by lathed seamless extruded tubing or by actually die-striking. The machining and die-striking processes both use machinery to literally compress the metal to ensure maximum density and strength. Because of this increased density, rings that are machined or die struck are harder, polish brighter, and wear longer than rings that are cast. Plus, they can usually be sized seamlessly. Virtually all of our wedding bands are machined.
Machined wedding bands are superior to cast wedding bands for several reasons. Cast wedding bands are more prone to having porosity (tiny pockets of air) within the finished ring, plus they are slightly brittle and usually can't be sized without cutting the ring. The casting process is best reserved for rings that can’t be machined, such as fancy engagement rings with intricate designs or carvings.
No matter which manufacturing method is used, virtually all wedding bands require hand finishing and polishing to create the finest appearance. This final finishing step may create slight but acceptable variances in the widths and thicknesses of rings even within the same style category.
What do we recommend? Machined wedding bands are more uniform in shape, closer to perfectly round, harder, and more durable than cast rings. They are free of porosity and are seamlessly sizeable. How soon will my order ship?
We make the majority of our bands to order, but the turnaround time for our bands is very quick, since we employ our own goldsmiths! Most of our bands are made within 1-5 business days, but some styles take a little longer. You can check the approximate processing time for each band by clicking on the “Shipping” tab on each item’s webpage. *Please note: The processing time is separate from the shipping time.
Do I have to be there when the package is delivered?
High value packages will require a signature upon delivery. When you track your package, watch for the message, "A signature is required for this shipment. If you're not going to be home, you can easily redirect it to a FedEx location for convenient pickup." A shipment may be released without a signature if the recipient has provided authorization by signing the Release Delivery Authorization and Indemnification Agreement for Recipients (obtained through your local FedEx Service Center).
We add a "Signature Required" sticker to the outside of high value packages as a reminder to the local FedEx courier. However, some couriers know their local neighborhoods well and if you are used to them leaving packages on your doorstep, this may also be the case with your e- Wedding Bands delivery. If you have any concerns about the delivery of your order, please feel free to contact us or your local FedEx office.
If you will not be home to sign for your package, we are happy to ship it to your work. Please have the cardholder call us at 800-291-9559 to authorize the alternate shipping address so that it will not delay the processing of your order.
Can the rings be engraved?
Most of our wedding bands can be engraved for free to personalize your ring with a special sentiment! Any band that can be engraved has an engraving option drop-down menu on its webpage. If an engraving option is not listed, it is because the band is too narrow to be engraved, there is no room on the shank of the band for an engraving, or it is made from a metal that cannot be engraved/can only be engraved by special order.
The inside of most wedding bands from 2mm to 12mm wide can hold up to 30 characters and spaces. This includes letters, characters, spaces and punctuation. Unfortunately, we cannot engrave inside diamond bands. The shank is too narrow and the inside is already stamped with the metal and diamond weight. Ring styles that are 7mm and wider can sometimes hold 2 lines of engraving for longer messages. Rings that are machine engraved are returnable and refundable! Tungsten Carbide rings cannot be engraved.
How do I return my ring to get it sized or exchanged? What if I would like to change the style?
All returns must be in their original packaging and must not exhibit signs of being worn or mistreated (Original packaging does not include the FedEx Delivery envelope, that is not required). All returns and exchanges are handled via e-mail. Please fill out the RMA form to obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. All fields are required. You will be emailed an RMA number within one business day (except weekends).
A full merchandise refund will be issued within three days of receipt of acceptable returned merchandise, less original shipping costs (if the FREE shipping option was selected for the original shipment, there will be a charge of $12.95 to cover the original shipping costs) and any applicable refinishing fees. *It may take up to 10 days for the credit to show up on your bank account.

Is there a special way I should ship the ring back to you?
While we don’t require any special shipping, we suggest that you insure it for the full value and obtain a tracking number for your protection. Jewelry in shipment is a prime target for theft. Our experience is that the United States Postal Service is the least expensive way to ship a package. Please remember to enclose instructions so we can expedite your return.
Your platinum is 95% pure. What is the other 5%?
All e-Wedding Bands platinum bands are 95% pure platinum and 5% ruthenium. This particular platinum/ruthenium alloy combination -- generally referred to as PLAT or PT950 -- is the highest purity available in platinum bands. Platinum wedding bands made with ruthenium are harder and more durable than platinum wedding bands made with iridium. In addition, all of our platinum bands are made from the highest quality seamless tubing with the exception of a few of our unique and hand-woven or braided styles.
What is the difference between Comfort-fit and non Comfort-fit?
Many wedding bands are available in a comfort-fit style, which means extra metal is used to make the inside of the band slightly domed, resulting in a very comfortable fit. Although comfort-fit wedding bands are more expensive than non comfort-fit bands, we strongly recommend them for widths of 5mm and wider. On widths of 4mm or less, the comfort-fit advantage is not as noticeable. The comfort-fit is especially recommended for men, because it is easier to squeeze over a large knuckle when putting your ring on or taking it off, and it's much more comfortable to wear once it's on. Can I return or exchange a ring that has been engraved or has a special finish?
Yes! Regular machine engraving or a standard texture (brushed, stone, or florentine finish) does not make the ring a custom order, so it can be returned or exchanged. Please note: engraving and finishing fees are not refundable, only the basic ring price.
If I have my finger sized at a local jeweler, will your sizes match?
Ring sizing is supposed to be universal, but unfortunately, it isn't. Read more about how to accurately determine your ring size.
Does e- Wedding Bands sell "Blood Diamonds" or "conflict diamonds"?
No we do not sell “Blood” or “Conflict” Diamonds. In 2000, a coalition of governments, non-governmental organizations and the diamond industry worked together to address the issue of conflict diamonds. In 2002, they established the Kimberley Process Certification System, a UN-backed process that has virtually eliminated the trade in conflict diamonds. Today, over 99% of the world's supply of diamonds is from sources free of conflict.
